Welcome to PAIL!

If you are new to PAIL, please check out our About page for more information.

Ahhhhhh!!!! I cannot believe that today is June 1st and we are live!

Three and a half short weeks ago, the original creator of PAIL put out a call for help. She was moving to a new (non-anonymous) space, and she was hoping that someone would volunteer to takeover and maintain the PAIL Blogroll and monthly theme posts. I immediately emailed her that I was interested in helping to keep the project going. A couple of days later, myself and three other lovely ladies got the email that said we had all volunteered and that the job was ours if we wanted it. I think that having four of us to help divide and conquer this project is the best thing that could have happened! 🙂

The past three weeks have been filled with multiple color-coded spreadsheets,  gazillions of emails, and many hours of work, but every minute has been worth it.

We are proud to say that this fully functional site is the new permanent home of PAIL! We have updated the blogroll (there are over 200 of you now!) and have been brainstorming monthly theme post ideas.  There is a Pinterest board and a Twitter account, and we are working on a new section called “Feature Posts.”  This section will highlight posts (past or present) that specifically relate to the challenges of being pregnant and/or parenting through ALI.

We are open to any ideas you all may have for more sections of this community. For example, Esperanza’s Book Club will be indexed here but run by her at her blog. If you have a great idea for an activity to help bring everyone together for discussion and advice, contact us (with Site Idea in the subject line) and let us know! We are also working behind the scenes on a photo project, a quick & easy recipe project, a community corkboard project, and more. Stay tuned!

Thank you so much for visiting us. I hope that PAIL can continue to be a place of encouragement and support for all of us who are pregnant and/or parenting through the difficult journey of adoption, infertility, and loss.

  7. Fantastic! Looking forward to lots of good things from you guys.
Is it just me or are there problems with the Pail button? I am using wordpress widgets and I inserted it and not only didn’t it work but all my other buttons in the secondary widget area disappeared.

  8. Wow, you guys, it all looks so great! Amazing job! I must be slightly dense this morning though because I can’t get the blogroll button to work! I’ll try it again later. Again, great job and THANK you!! 🙂

  9. Yay!! So happy about this site going live. Thank you all for helping to continue PAIL!

This site is so very cool! Thanks so much for putting this together. And thanks for including the book club. I was thinking maybe we should have piece of the book club that used to be on my blog here, like the post where I introduce the book and the post where I link to all the contributing posts. Does that sound good? I guess we can chat about it via email. 😉

Thanks again for putting this together. Very, very cool.
