memorable moment monday, vol. 6

Remember when waking up to a trail of scattered clothing on your floor meant that it had been an (overly) fun night on the town? A couple of days ago, I looked up from my perch in the bathroom where I was sitting watching Stella while she splashed in the tub, and I realized that the trail of clothing on my floor had an entirely different meaning now. Burp cloth, short-shorts, onesie, and swaddling blanket, all laid out in a row. When it is this scattered, it means I pushed it too long (in this case, at Music in the Park) before getting her home and into the bath, and we were flying through the bedtime routine to avoid any potential breakdowns. How times have changed…

After a long night out on the town…little people edition.

memorable moment monday – hungry babies edition

Good morning! We survived a night without Daddy, who is studying for the (US) bar exam in a few days. Anyone else out there in your lives taking the bar on Wednesday and Thursday? I know we have one in our midst– AS is studying hard right now herself. Good luck to everyone!

Before he left yesterday, we took the babies out for brunch, and they did pretty well! I’m cheating and using TWO photos this week so you can see both of my girls.

Chicken, watching Daddy eat. “When are you planning on sharing, exactly?” (He did.)

Ham, happy as always. She threw three spoons onto the floor and ate her weight in banana pancakes.

memorable moment monday – vol. 4

Who else has a case of “The Mondays” today? It can’t only be me. This “work from home” thing has quickly translated into “work from Starbucks while FIL watches child” and I’m not a fan. Sad face. Time for a happy picture! Because clearly, I am totally working right now. (I’ll be hosting my photo here today, as I have a birthday card up for my Dad at my place today.)

Lately, we’ve been spending a lot of time in the kiddie pool. I don’t know about where you live, but it has been hot as balls here. Our “pool” is not only super-mega-ultra fun, it surprisingly refreshing. We have been known to put the kid in it naked while we (and assorted friends) sit around it in lawn chairs with our feet in the pool and beverages in our hands. I believe they call this The Good Life.

This Saturday, the boys in my life had a little group swim while this Mum sunned herself on a towel. The best.

“And then a big brown shark came…”

Shoo away The Mondays! Share your moment with us! Post a photo (snappy commentary and/or awesome captions optional) on your blog and link us. We will remind everyone to come back and check in on Friday with our weekly summary. You can also send us pics on Twitter @PAILbloggers!

And now for a reminder – if you would like to submit a post to this month’s theme post collection, please send it to us by midnight tomorrow. So far, the response has been amazing and we thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings with us.

a sleepy-eyed memorable moment monday

I am a woman of few words this morning. There has not been much sleep in our household the past few days.

(The one with the big, wide-open eyes is the main culprit in keeping us all up!)

It is going to be a “lying around” kind of day today, I think. At least the sun is out and the breeze is cool over the ocean… I really should not complain.

What kind of day are you having? Post a Memorable Moment Monday in your blog and link us in the comments!

memorable moment monday!

Like Julie mentioned in her weekly summary on Friday, it was so much fun to look through everyone’s photos last week that we thought we should do it again!

Post a picture of a memorable moment in your life – it could be from right this very second, or it could be from this past week. Here’s mine:

Please excuse the saggy, spit up covered outfit. Stella was so busy blogging that she just didn’t have time for an outfit change!

Actually, this is Stella skyping with her grandparents yesterday, but what drew me in about this photo was that she actually tries to “type” on the keyboard now. It’s amazing to realize how much your child really is watching you at all times. Wow. Time to clean up my act. 🙂
