featured posts – january 2013 collection

Our main goal here at PAIL Bloggers is to help connect individuals struggling with various aspects of the PAIL part of the ALI journey. The Featured Post is meant to highlight a post (past or present) from a blogger that specifically relates to the challenges of being pregnant and/or parenting through ALI. We hope this helps you to connect with other bloggers individually, in addition to perusing the blogroll for other kindred spirits.

January 2013 – Featured Posts

  • We featured a special guest post from missohkay discussing the tragic Russian ban on international adoptions. She gives us insight into the emotional process and political implications of international adoption, in addition to succinctly describing what this ban means for waiting parents and children alike. A difficult, but important read.
  • SRB submitted, “at odds,” by All and Sundry, wherein she talks about perspective and how hard it is to keep it when you’re in the midst of parenting struggles.
  • Did your IF experience leave you feeling uncomfortable about complaining about the admittedly rocky and challenging transition to parenthood? You’re not alone! SRB highlighted Miss Conception‘s brave, candid, and all-too-familiar experience of unpacking all those postpartum and early mothering woes in this week’s Featured Post.
  • Josey shared with us a post by Julia of 3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Baby that speaks of that moment when we realize we’ve done it, we’ve come full circle, we have that long-awaited child. Our journey may not be over, but we reach a place where we can look back and take in the view. Julia shares with us how that moment was in visiting her RE’s office with her son. We hope you’ll read, Full Circle, and maybe share your ‘moment’ of coming full circle.
